STOMPer Angel is disappointed with the numerous times she has seen students eating and drinking on trains. What is worse, she says they continue to eat out of spite when she tells them not to do so.

Says Angel:

"On Nov 5, around 6.10pm, I took a train from Seng Kang to Hougang.

"I saw a student eating Pocky sticks.  

"On seeing that, I signalled to her not to eat. She glared at me and started distributing the Pocky sticks to the other girls.  

"I was appalled to see her reaction.

"I thought she would stop immediately and hopefully learn something but her attitude and behaviour was incorrigible. So were the other girls.

"I can see, almost once a week, people eating or drinking in the train despite efforts to educate people not to do so.

"But what comes as a surprise is that each and every time, the ones I see doing these are students.

"When told that they are not supposed to drink or eat, they turn nasty, arrogant and continue to eat just to spite you.

"What happened to our youth, are these our future leaders?

"It chills me to think about this.

"What happened to the education system here, what happened to discipline by parents?

"In other countries, I do not see such behaviour of people eating or drinking in trains, crowding the entrances, or cutting queues when using the escalator. Perhaps we should learn from them on how they do it."
