Youths break fire hose cabinet glass, use water to wash bikes

This group of youngsters have been spotted repeatedly breaking the glass on a fire hose on the top floor of this multi-story carpark in Chua Chu Kang to wash their bikes, according to a STOMPer.

Here's what the STOMPer wrote in an email today (Apr 7)

"My sister lives in Choa Chu Kang St 51 and according to her, these bikers are often seen on the top floor of the multi-storey carpark at Blk 511A, washing their bikes.

"They break the glass panel for the fire hose and use it for washing their bikes.

"After washing, they change their clothes at the same place before heading off together.

"Hong Kah Town Council has replaced the glass panel several times but that did not stop these bikers from breaking the glass panel again and again.

"Not only is their smashing of the glass a form of vandalism, the broken glass left on the floor also poses a safety hazard for others.

"Since it's not the first occurance. The town council or police should install a CCTV or employ similar measures to catch these guys."

These kids are merely washing their bikes and minding their own business. If an alternative was to be offered to them, with a washing bay up there, then the problem of broken glass and vandalism will be quickly resolved. Seek a peaceful and understanding alternative, I say....;)

maybe one day you'll see them breaking the concrete barriers as they fly off the roof of the carpark.
